Laboratoire Photonique, Numérique et Nanosciences (LP2N)

Institut d'Optique Graduate School, CNRS & University of Bordeaux (UMR5298)
IOA, Rue François Mitterrand, 33400 Talence, France

Located at the Institut d'Optique d'Aquitaine in Bordeaux University, the LP2N is a research laboratory, with varied focuses such as nanophotonics, cold atoms, nanosciences, imaging for biology and biophysics, lasers and metrology, as well as digital display and computational optics.

Our group focuses in particular on the optical detection, spectroscopy, analysis and manipulation of single nano-objects with applications in quantum optics, condensed matter physics and biology:

  • Single Nano-objects Spectroscopy and manipulation (Molecules, Semiconductor nanocrystals, Single-walled carbon nanotube, Metal nanostructures)
  • Photothermal detection of individual non-fluorescent nano-objects,
  • Super-resolution microscopy,
  • Applications in Biology
